Hello I want to let readers know I am hard at work at the next book, Revolution’s Edge, which I hope to publish fairly soon. This has kept me very busy. However, I also am planning to engage some help upgrading this website–you may may have noticed that the covers no longer match those of the e-books in the Amazon store or of the paperback and hardcovers in the Amazon store. It will all be more polished over time. I truly appreciate those of you who have taken the time to leave comments here and on Amazon itself and in other venues. I hope over time to find a way to be more interactive with readers, though I want my focus to remain on writing the books it is very enjoyable and gratifying work. Best, Adrian.

I’m a retired history and English teacher, and particular about what I read. I am seriously impressed by your knowledge of geography, languages, customs of various cultures, and the social, maritime and military history of Britain. I am equally thrilled by your high standards for writing English: spelling, grammar, and usage are all near perfect. This and your vocabulary set your writing apart from that of your contemporaries who write about ships and the men who sailed them from about 1750 to 1850. Most of them should have hired a proofreader beore publishing. Thank you for this series!
Thank you Mariel for your kind words. At some point I hope to have a professional editor! I just published Book 7, Revolution’s Edge, today.
These wonderful novels would make a fine limited series on Netflix! FUI my wife is also loving them!
Henry thank you. I especially appreciate that your wife is also enjoying them! I have wondered what women think of them; I’ve had a few comments but not many from our betters!
Hi, Have very much enjoyed the series and hope there’s more to come. Just finished Revolution’s Edge and I have to say I have never been a fan of Caroline. I appreciate she’s a long way from your typical woman of this era, but I don’t like her approach to life. Don’t want any spoilers so that’s all I want to say. Keep writing!
Thank you Cindy I always very much like to hear from female readers, as I appreciate your often more nuanced perspectives. Thank you for not giving away the storyline and I am glad you are looking forward to future books as we enter the French revolutionary and Napoleonic wars.
