A great book, a little hard as the storyline was a little more emotive and unable to put it down. I hope and wait with anticipation for the next in the series, hopefully not toooo long please.
Thoroughly engrossed once again in the characters and the actions; personal, political and naval, I grew up reading GA Henty’s ‘lessons on how men and women should behave under duty’ and of the characters in my weekly Hotspur comics and other similar ones. It very pleasing that authors continue to use history in fiction to remind how we should function today. I do hope you continue with your work.
Nicolas does wild things in battle and I life but I hope he does the same with Caroline. I have read many naval adventure series starting with Hornblower in my youth and have enjoyed your books as much as any. I am totally engrossed with Nicholas and hope he wins out in the coming episodes particularly with Caroline and Vale.. I cannot wait for the next adventures.
